Greater Toronto’s best-kept underground secret, Oakville-bred heavy-indie “quadrumvirate” Burner unveils its utterly walloping first LP to the world at large on Nov. 1 via upstart Brantford arts-collective imprint zBTFD Records and … well … strap yourself in for one of the most riveting, challengingand ultimately satisfying musical rides you’ll experience this year.

Become Nothing is a fantastic, fascinating next foot forward for an uncompromising outfit that’s been channeling myriad hardcore, shoegaze, hip-hop and “uncool” turn-of-the-millennium alt-rock and nü-metal influences into hair-raising live shows and a ferocious sound all its own on the shadowy outskirts of Hipsterdom for the past seven years. Scorching teaser singles “Harborn” and “Hyena” have only presented pieces of a complex puzzle that demands to be digested – and was dutifully and meticulously designed – as a proper “album” album. 

Burner has worked incredibly hard to make the kind of record that goes to work on you when you put in the time to let it work on you. Let it work on you. It’s bonkers.
